All those who protest that Islam is a peaceful religion stand up

29 October 2014 By Lyn Pickering Leave a Comment

Let all those who still protest that Islam is a peaceful religion stand up and be counted.  Obviously they are the same people who are shouting the odds at Israel.  Interesting that despite the increasing atrocities at the hand of ISIS, there are still those who would bend over backwards to say that the Islamic State is not a true reflection of Islam.

The Islamic State has just instituted exactly the same Sharia-based educational system in Raqqa, Syria, as the Muslims in Saudi Arabia.  In Saudi, they carry out the same practice of public flogging, beheadings and yes, even crucifixions as the Islamic State.  Iran perpetrates similar atrocities.  It is all done in the name of Islam yet, the United States considers itself a friend and ally of Saudi Arabia, but an enemy of ISIS and the Syrian government, and declares that Islam is a peaceful religion. The Damascus Prophecy and the Fall of Syria

4 September 2013 By Lyn Pickering Leave a Comment

The Burden of Damascus.  Behold Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

Isaiah 17:1

Many Biblical prophecies have a dual application – an early and a latter fulfillment.

Concerning Damascus.  Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.  Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to flee, and fear hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail.  How is the city of praise not left, the city of my joy!  Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the Lord.  And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall consume the palaces of Ben-hahad.

Jeremiah 49:23-27

Today we are seeing the sorrow coming from the sea, the weakness of Damascus and the people feeling in panic before the inevitable attack from the West.  Syria is falling and it seems that there is nothing to stop her complete destruction.  Shia Islam also has prophecies for Syria, and for Damascus in particular.  They watch the unfolding drama in the Middle East knowing that the fall of Damascus means, in their beliefs, the imminent return of the Al Mahdi, Muhammad’s successor in the Caliphate. Eastern Mediterranean Cold War

20 August 2012 By Lyn Pickering Leave a Comment

The Eastern Mediterranean is in a state of cold war but there is every indication that it could soon hot up.  Recent reports of planned naval military manoeuvres by China, Russia, Iran in conjunction with Syria have been denied.  What has been confirmed however, is the mobilisation of carriers and other warships to the Syrian coast.

Two Iranian warships, a destroyer and a supply ship, were permitted to enter the Mediterranean through the Suez Canal in February, and last month a Chinese carrier joined the vessels in the area.

Russia is reported to have dispatched a naval flotilla led by the Russian destroyer, Admiral Chabanenko to cover delivery by a Russian freighter of rebuilt Russian Mi-25 attack helicopters.  Syria had purchased the rebuilt helicopters, but an earlier attempt to send them was blocked in June off Scotland’s coast.  Russian Defence Ministry spokesman, Vyacheslav Dzirkaln has made clear that Moscow will tolerate no interference in its traffic with Damascus.  “The fleet will be sent on task to guarantee the safety of our ships, to prevent anyone interfering with them in the event of a blockade. “I remind you,” he warned, “there are no limits.” [Read more…]

Israel Poised to Strike Iran?

15 August 2012 By Lyn Pickering Leave a Comment

Matan Vilnai told the Maariv newspaper that Israel was poised to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities although an attack would need to be coordinated with the United States.  Any such attack would be likely to trigger a month long conflict that would result in casualties – probably leaving 500 Israeli’s dead, he said.

Syria has become the epicentre of an international confrontation, with the US, NATO, Gulf Cooperation Council and Israel posturing towards Russia, China, and Iran.

US-NATO Naval Build-up in the Eastern Mediterranean

30 July 2012 By Lyn Pickering Leave a Comment

Since UN Security Council deadlock, Moscow has despatched ten Russian warships to the Eastern Mediterranean on “planned military manoeuvres”.  Led by the Admiral Chabanenko anti-submarine destroyer, the flotilla is stationed off the Southern Syrian coastline.  At the same time, allied forces including special forces and intelligence have stepped up their presence in Syria.

False Flagging

The intended assault on this region is not new.  Harold Macmillan and President Dwight Eisenhower approved a CIA-MI6 plan as far back as 1957 to stage fake border incidents and providing a pretext for Iraq and Jordanian military intervention.  The stated aim was to eliminate Damascus’ influential triumvirate.  In order to arouse tensions in the area, Syria had to be “made to appear as the sponsor of plots, sabotage and violence directed against neighbouring governments”.  This would take the form of “sabotage, national conspiracies and various strong-arm activities” all of which would be laid at  Damascus’ door.

Included in the plan was the need for funding of a “Free Syria Committee”, and the arming of “political factions with paramilitary or other actionist capabilities” within Syria.  The CIA and MI6 were to instigate internal uprisings using groups such as the Druze in the south, would help to free political prisoners held in the Mezze prison, and stir up the Muslim Brotherhood in Damascus.
